Vision and Mission

Vision:

Janpath envisions a Gujarat where all marginalized communities are empowered, voices of the oppressed are heard, and social justice prevails. We aim to create a unified platform where diverse efforts converge to drive meaningful change and enhance the quality of life for the most disadvantaged groups.

Mission:

Our mission is to build a strong, cohesive network of voluntary organizations and individuals to advocate for and address key social issues in Gujarat. We strive to:

• Foster Solidarity and Harmony: Unite diverse organizations and individuals with a common goal of social justice.
• Facilitate Advocacy and Policy Influence: Enhance the collective capacity to influence policies and practices that impact marginalized communities.
• Promote Information Sharing and Understanding: Provide a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experiences to improve people’s empowerment efforts.

Role

Janpath aims to amplify the voices and increase the visibility of sectoral, issue-based, regional, and grassroots organizations by offering a common platform. It functions as a platform, network, and association for voluntary action in Gujarat:

• Platform: Promotes voluntarism and provides political space for voluntary initiatives.
• Network: Facilitates the sharing of ideas, exploration of alternatives, and solidarity-building to advance and protect people’s rights.
• Solidarity Forum: Supports value-driven voluntary action and the sustainability of NGO interventions.

Objectives

• To promote, support, and strengthen people-centered voluntary action in Gujarat.
• To document social movements, mass mobilization processes, and programs.
• To enhance the capacity of the network to maximize effectiveness and impact.
• To foster collaboration between government, NGOs, community-based organizations, and voluntary organizations.
